Hobo

Hobo This is Hobo, named because he was a wanderer in the neighborhood. Probably born around March, 2001. He is a Rhodesian Ridgeback, bred to hunt lions, so he is lion-hearted. Around April, 2002 he showed up in our yard in California. He set up home on the lawn in the front yard, but ran away whenever we approached. We took our male dog, Tag, out to meet him and they got along great. Hobo didn't quite know how to play, but they soon figured it out.

However, we didn't feel that the dog was safe to handle, so we had to call the pound. The day they came, this dog acted like we were it's long lost family. We told the pound that if no one wanted him we would take him. Of Course, they called and we took him home. It was obvious that he had been abused (many people do not know how to train a stubborn dog) Note below.. He is taking all the love and affection we can give him, and he is turning out to be a great dog--Except he thinks he is a lap dog (weighs 100+ pounds), and eats like a small horse. Loves fig newtons and gingerbread cookies. He also likes to pick up baby turtles in his mouth and carry them around without harming them.

* He only listens when he wants, bribery bones and snacks help!
